7th Sunday Session
About 1:30pm before any action. Thinking maybe the sessions could start a little later. Like about 1:30pm !!
Seth and Sean were first to arrive. 1st session for both. Seth is looking to meet musicians he clicks with to put a band together. Enjoys composition, coming up with interesting melodic and rhythmic ideas.
Sean plays Bodhrán and drums, heard about the sessions from Nabil.
It can be a little difficult when you’re first to get to something for the first time and it hasn’t really fired up. However, we got into a little 5/4 from a tune Seth threw in the melting pot that caught Sean’s interest. Nice to hear drums played quietly. There’s plenty of drummers on the other side of the world that people on the other side of the world can listen to.
We didn’t get treated to the Bodhrán tho. Now I’m wondering if it would fit this? Paid session, come back!!!!
Also looking to record a hot fiddle improvising on this track. Paid session! MORE HERE

|Graham Stoney – drums – guitar: 1st time. Graham plays drums fairly regularly with the Jam Band.
On Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 8:00 PM
|Nabil Daoud – guitar: 2nd time.
What can I say? Nabil rips it up!
He has a wide repertoire of covers, originals. Plays nice (or wild) electric, acoustic, classical guitar. Good improvisor.
A guy who’s obviously done his homework

|Matias is from Chile. He’s in Australia for a year, looking for a lyricist, vocalist. Very inventive player. Electric guitar, accoustic, wide range of material. Covers, originals, improvisation
Like Nabil, Matias has great chops. They compliment each other nicely. It would be great to see something come of their meeting. These guys should be workin’!!
|Phil Cleary – spoken word: Phil comes regularly and adds to the vocal mix. Phil (NZ), Matias Galves (Chile), Zizhi Zhou (China), myself (Aust) are in the process of recording some of Phil’s Spoken Word pieces.
There have been two recording sessions so far, with a third on Saturday 23rd Feb
It’s interesting stuff!
Wound up on an acoustic note, around the kitchen table. Guitars, acoustic bass guitar and mandolin. Pleasant way to end the session.
