We painted the studio floor. Finished, it looks like this.
Nice eh? The process it went thru to get to this point can be seen on the vid
It was going to be an 8mtr x 8 mtr timelapse abstract painting across the entire studio floor in two processes. 1st in gray*, then a second layer in colour washes. We ran out of time. At least the studio floor is now protected and looking good.
Application was by roller, brush, splatter, mop, drop, bodies, wheelchair and luck. Not the greatest work of art but hey, it was fun!
Audio track – 01 19 2014 D Just Jammin’ – Frankie Farrugia drums, Alistair Bell guitar R, Claudio Russino piano, Mick Dick bass, Alan McKenna guitar L, Benni Seidel keyboard engineer edit mix. Recorded at the 19th January 2014 82a Sunday Session Sydney Australia
* Grey is a white base with black added. Gray is a white base with a touch of coarse Red, Blue, Yellow, Ochre pigments and a touch of black.
Whatever coloured light is shined onto gray, it will become that colour.
Red and Blue, Green and Yellow lights combined onto gray first appear almost white to the eye.
